Yes, I know its not a Honda forum. Anyone here have a new TYPE R Civic?

If so, how much does it cost to fill up the tank if its empty. And how many k's do you get on a full tank.

Deej.

9.3 litres / 100km

tank fits 50 Litres

50 x $1.65 (lets say petrol is 'cheap') = $82.50 for a full tank of petrol

and you get around 540km off a full tank......... Ghey!!!!

IMO not worth it..... and im a Honda Fanboy..... if its fuel efficiency your looking for just go for diesel :P

My brothers EK 1.6 civic averages 50 to fill and gets 450-550 around town and best yet is 670 on the highway has basic mods they do help a lot with fuel.

my turbo EK 1.6 civic gets a constant 400km around town to a tank and roughly 550-600 highway kms

i think the newer hondas are a bit more thirsty due to the increased weight of the car.

Anyone considering the new model Civic Type R should go and take an EP3 Type R for a drive before they buy.

I really liked the interior design of the new model, much more quality feel about it, but in terms of outright performance, the old model is quicker and handles better. It depends on what floats your boat really.

They both run on the smell of an oily rag, deej, no probs there.

got a MY09 typeR model, and personally love it.
unless you live life by what other people say, i recommend to go test drive one, then youll know for sure if its for you or not.
fuel consumption variable. my lowest is 8.7L/100km (haha ivtec granny kicked in yall!)
power? i reckon its got a bit more than "crap on power"
